Dash diet guidelines
The most important thing in dash diet is to reduce sodium to an upper limit of 2,400 milligrams or lowest limit of 1,500 milligrams per day. Almost every product contain salt, for example – 50g of cornflakes have 1,4g of salt, slice of bread – 0,75g and average dinner – about 10g of it. Our daily needs limit to 1,5g of salt. In opinion of World Health Organisation experts, we should not exceed the amount of 5 gramms of sodium daily. How to count how many salt is in products we use? On the major part of them the amount of sodium is written, not salt. In 5g of salt there is 2g of sodium.
